Dear Parents, 

Welcome to a website designed specifically to enhance your child’s reading and writing skills.  Activities are added as words from either Word List #1 or #2 are introduced.

Word List #1 has the words that accompany our reading readiness program (Scott Foresman: Reading Kindergarten).  Please note that there are a few words (examples: to & go) that can be easily used to construct simple sentences, and therefore, are introduced before the program designates.

Word List #2 is a supplemental collection of words that will compliment List #1.  These may be interjected during Units 2-6.

There are a variety of activity sheets: Reading Challenges, Silly Sentences, “Fill-In” the Missing Word(s), Word to Picture “Match-ups”, as well as, pages to download and complete.

I hope this is an enjoyable learning experience for your child.  Kindergarten offers an opportunity for growth unparalleled by other grade levels; from letter introduction to reading and writing sentences and stories.  As a parent, you should share in the excitement of the challenge and credit yourself for all your efforts.
